During my internship at the World Bank, I was given the responsibility of designing and creating prototypes for the De Jure department's independent website. The goal was to develop a separate website that would enable easy accessibility and discovery of the department's information online. This involved designing unique website layouts, considering user experience, and implementing interactive prototypes to showcase the functionality and features of the website. By collaborating with the de jure department, I ensured that their specific requirements and branding were incorporated into the design. Overall, my internship at the World Bank provided me with an invaluable opportunity to contribute to the development of an independent website that enhanced the department's online presence and accessibility.
Project Description
Tools Used:
Problem Statement
The Existing DE JURE content on the World Bank and DIME pages were not easily accessible and majority of the content was generic, outdated and unhelpful.
Objectives
To build a centralized presence for people with a targeted interest in justice reform to directly access the most relevant material
Create a web presence that will amplify De Jure's web presence in the following 3 ways:
Make other players more effective
Spark unexpected yet meaningful connections
Build De Jure Ethos
Interviews
Desktop Research
Research Methods
In the research conducted, I had the opportunity to engage with key stakeholders, including the department head of De Jure, my manager, and other staff members from the department. This allowed me to gain a clear understanding of their expectations and requirements for the website. Additionally, I conducted a thorough review of the department's representation on the main World Bank page. This followed with a lot of departmental presentations in order to align the goals and needs of the website.
Solution
The proposed solution for De Jure is to create a dedicated web page. This page would consist of 5-6 content areas, each contributing to the achievement of key objectives. One of the areas would be a research hub where all the justice reform projects undertaken by De Jure would be showcased. Another section would display the data used, providing transparency and credibility. Additionally, there would be an articles/blog page to keep users updated on current news related to justice issues worldwide. This solution aims to facilitate access to the information and resources provided by De Jure.
